All Aboard!

I've been a little MIA on the blogfront - sorry about that.  I didn't even realize it had been so long since I posted.  We've been busy here - most recently I've been to a couple of 'ship' receptions.  A British Royal Navy ship docked and hosted a reception and just a short time later, an Italian aircraft carrier made its way here and hosted a very large event!

I've also been to the start of a Gourmet Cooking Club!  Such a GREAT IDEA and quite possibly will be one of the best groups here.  I'll spare you the details, but it's a pretty small group (invitation only) and we meet once a month at various Embassies, local venues, personal residences.  Our most recent one was at the Japanese Embassy where the Ambassadors wife taught us to make sushi, tempura, etc...This month we're headed to a local residence to learn about pasta sauce.  Anyway, I'll remember to take some pics next time.

For now - I'm signing off as I leave on a plane tonight for Istanbul, Turkey!!!  Headed out of town for a week with two of my best girlfriends here in Accra - Tish and Charlotte.  Seen below at the Royal Navy reception.  :)  There will be plenty of new posts and pics when I return!
