International Day

The school Chase attends (Lincoln International School) had their biggest event of the year - International Day. There are 63 countries represented in the school - which astonishes me!  I absolutely love it and it is really fun to be a part of it!  It also makes me very proud to be American and to share our traditions as well as learn about all the other traditions.

The day started off with some speeches, a parade of countries, a 'talent' show of sorts (per country).  The idea was to do a musical number representing your country - the Americans did The Cupid Shuffle.  :)  Once the program was over, let the FUN begin!  There were food tents set up all over the grounds where countries gave samplings of their traditional food.  Oh my  - it was crazy!  So many people!  But wonderful at the same time!  Well done Lincoln!

*I've posted a few of my favorite pics from the day to hopefully give you an idea of what was all around us!
Here come the American students (oldest student from each country carried the flag).

This is how Chase strolled through the parade

Drew got a firecracker tattoo - he was so HOT that day!!  Poor baby!

These two girls are Chase's classmates

From Nigeria - so cute!

Two of my sweet friends and the moms of a couple of Chase's best buddies (representing Japan and China).  Their families also represent Slovakia, France, and America.

Several of Chase's classmates are in this pic
